How do we charge for Tunza products?

Tunza offers flexible, tailored pricing models depending on the specific product your community or organization is using. Across all our products, one standard rule applies: groups cover the cost of the automated SMS alerts and reminders sent out by the system.

Here is the exact pricing breakdown for each Tunza solution:

1. Tunza Chama (Investment & Welfare Groups)

Built for traditional Chamas, table banking, and investment clubs.

  • Pricing Structure: Staggered/Tiered pricing based on group size.

  • Why it works: Your group pays a predictable, flat monthly rate determined by your member count rather than a per-head fee, making budgeting seamless for your treasurer. Small starter groups can get started on our Free Forever band.

2. Tunza Fundraisers (Community & Event Pooling)

Built for medical cards, weddings, funerals, or project-specific community contributions.

  • Pricing Structure: 3% of the total amount raised.

  • Why it works: There are zero upfront or monthly subscription costs. You only pay a small commission on the funds successfully pooled into the campaign.

3. Tunza Microfinance (Lending Businesses)

Built for structured community lenders and micro-credit institutions.

  • Pricing Structure: Pay-As-You-Go transactional fees.

  • Why it works: Instead of a subscription, you are charged a flat rate of KES 50 to KES 200 per loan disbursed, scaled depending on the principal size of the loan. You only pay when you are actively doing business.

4. Tunza Rotary Club (Service Club Management)

Built specifically for Rotary and service clubs to manage member registers, annual dues, and project invoicing.

  • Pricing Structure: Flat-rate long-term packages.

    • 6 Months: KES 15,000

    • 1 Year: KES 25,000 (Saves KES 5,000)

5. Tunza Nyumba Kumi (Neighborhood Associations)

Built for community security, estate management, and local neighborhood tracking.

  • Pricing Structure: Free of Charge.

  • Why it works: The management software infrastructure is completely free to use. The estate or community only pays for the transactional SMS broadcasts sent out to residents.

Note on SMS Charges: For all products, automated SMS confirmations (payment alerts, loan reminders, and balance updates) are billed directly to the group based on actual usage. This ensures your members remain instantly informed and data is kept secure in real-time.
